Interior/Exterior
The new Ford Explorer has a comfortable and
functional interior. Quality materials such as premium leather are incorporated
from the seats to the dashboard. Three rows accommodate up to seven passengers,
and the second and third rows have a fold-flat function. There's a twin-panel
moonroof and at least 18.0 cubic feet of cargo space. The exterior of the new
Ford Explorer yields athletic proportions from front to rear. Well-sculpted
lines flow across the sides of the body, and there's a finely sculpted hood.
Distinctive grilles are present for the available trims. Other exterior
features are pronounced wheel arches, adaptive headlamps, and a tapered
roofline.
Performance
The new Explorer tows a maximum of 5,600 pounds
with the Ford Class IV Trailer Tow Package. Roll-stability control and
Wind-Stabilizing technology are also incorporated. A 2.3-liter engine makes 310
pound-feet and 300 horsepower. A turbocharged V6 engine also delivers 415
pound-feet and 400 horsepower. Auto Start/Stop technology helps conserve fuel
on your commutes through San Angelo. Its terrain management system allows you
to switch between several drive modes.
Technology
Various technologies, including Alexa, Wi-Fi
hotspots, wireless phone charging, and Bang/Olufsen audio, are available. Other
features are voice-activated navigation, in-vehicle apps, and a roof rack
system.
Safety
The new Ford Explorer has a five-star safety
rating. Ford Co-Pilot 360 maximizes protection by providing accident
prevention. Some included features are Pre-Collision Assist, Lane Keeping
Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring. There's also a rearview camera.
